Simple steps you can take to reduce carbon emissions in your daily life.

  • Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact flourescent light bulbs. Use 60% less energy, save up to 300 lbs.of carbon emissions per year.
  • Clean or replace filters on your furnace or air conditioner. Save up to 350 Lbs. of carbon emissions per year.
  •  Move thermostat down 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in summer. Save up to 2000 lbs. carbon emissions per year.
  • Use less hot water, install low-flow showerheads.Save up to 350 lbs. carbon emissions per year.
  • nsulate and weatherise your home, reduce heating bills by 25% and save up to 2000 lbs. carbon emissions per year.
  • Buy recycled paper products.
  • Buy fresh instead of frozen foods. Frozen foods use 10 times more energy to produce!
  • Avoid heavily packaged products, cut landfill garbage by 10% a year and save up to 1200 lbs. of carbon emissions per year.
  • Reduce the miles you drive. Drive just 10 miles less a week and save up to 500 lbs. od CO2 emissions per year.
  • Keep tires inflated. Proper inflation can improve gas mileage by 10%.
  • Ride-share with neighbors. Combine trips to the market, drug store, library, farmer's market, etc.
